National Council Nominations Due Feb. 15!Are you looking to grow your leadership skills and represent your region? At its core, SPS is a student organization and we need leaders to direct the mission and goals of the organization through the SPS National Council. Each of our 18 zones elects a student Associate Zone Councilor and a faculty Zone Councilor. Together, Associate Zone Councilors and Zone Councilors work with all the SPS members and chapters within their zone to make a difference in the lives of students and mentors. Together, they form the National Council, the Society’s governing body.
SPS is now accepting nominations for student Associate Zone Councilors for all 18 zones (one year terms); faculty Zone Councilors for Zones 1, 3, 4, 9, 13, and 14 (three-year terms); Zone Councilor for Zone 8 (one-year term, special election); and the office of Society of Physics Students President (two-year term). Please consider nominating your fellow chapter members and faculty advisors. Self-nominations are accepted. Nominations are due February 15, 2017.
