Dear Distinguished members,
As many of you know, Pi Day (3-14-17) is a national celebration of the mathematical constant, which appears in many physical systems unrelated to circles and geometry. It’s also a celebration of support for undergraduate involvement in the physical sciences!
This year’s Pi Day contributions will help students get a piece of the pi(e) to engage in research, outreach, public policy, and professional development opportunities. Your donations directly support Society of Physics Students (SPS) members as they pursue their degrees and professional goals.
Please join us in assisting aspiring students in the physical sciences so that they can make a difference in their local and national communities.
- With 8 gifts of $8π, we can send a student to a national professional conference to present their research.
- With 2 gifts of $32π, we can provide a reporter award, which focuses on science writing.
- With 10 gifts of $160π, we can fund an outstanding student leader scholarship.
- With 1 gift of $319π, we can support two chapters in leading outreach activities for K-12 students.
Engage the Pi in 2017: Donate Today!
