Dear Potential Exhibitor,

The 2016 Sigma Pi Sigma (ΣΠΣ) Quadrennial Physics Congress (PhysCon) takes place 3-5 November, at the Hyatt Regency-San Francisco Airport in Burlingame, California – near Silicon Valley and San Francisco. The theme of this year’s PhysCon is Unifying Fields, Science Driving Innovation. PhysCon 2016 is expected to have record-breaking participation with more than 1,000 attendees given the diversity of the program, plenary speakers and location. Ample time has been allotted for networking with students, alumni and others.

PhysCon happens once every four years and presents a unique opportunity to reach the next generation of physicists with opportunities for graduate school, internships, volunteer programs and more. If you are in search of talented physics students for your graduate program or research experience, please consider hosting a table at PhysCon. The exhibit is the first formal event at PhysCon and we hope you can participate.

Exhibit Hours: 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2016
Tabletop Display: $500

For your convenience, you can register online. For additional information, check out the full Exhibitor Brochure. If you are unable to exhibit, consider advertising in the Congress program (details in the Exhibitor Brochure) or another form of sponsorship.

Plenary talks will be delivered by a distinguished group of individuals serving the physics community: Jocelyn Bell Burnell a world-class astrophysicist; Eric Cornell, Senior Scientist at JILA, NIST, and 2001 Physics Nobel Laureate; Persis Drell, Dean of Stanford University School of Engineering; S. James Gates, Distinguished Professor and Center for String & Particle Theory Director at the University of Maryland; Neil Turok, 2016 AIP Tate Medalist for International Leadership, South African physicist and the Director of Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics; and Patrick Brady, Professor & Director, Center for Gravitation, Cosmology & Astrophysics at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee; speaking on behalf of the LIGO community about the detection of gravitational waves.

Workshops will be held on topics such as science driving innovation, careers and public relations for physicists, building up the physicist community and life as a graduate student. Field trips include tours to SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, NASA Ames Research Center and Google X.

We hope you can participate and join in the excitement of PhysCon 2016. Please contact me with questions or for additional information.
