Renew Your SPS Membership and Update Your Chapter's Contact Info!

Make sure to renew your SPS membership for the 2023-2024 academic school year!  With an SPS membership, you receive benefits such as Physics Today monthly, the SPS Observer quarterly, access to our awards and internship program, the SPS job site, and more!  You can register or renew your membership here.

You can also update your chapter contact information throughout the year if your leadership changes! Please update your chapter’s contact information here.

Plan a Chapter Event!

SPS wants to help you step up your outreach to the community with free stuff! Chapters can get a free Science Outreach Catalyst Kits (SOCK) to use in outreach presentations (first come, first serve). This year’s theme is eclipses! Or you can expand your chapter’s demo library through use of our Outreach Demonstrations, with topics including astronomy, mechanics, optics, and more!

Looking for a little competition? Engage your chapter and challenge your physics trivia knowledge with the latest version of Physics Jeopardy from SPS! With questions ranging from relativity to radioactivity, Physics Jeopardy encourages friendly competition as members/teams compete to earn the most points. Whether you are planning an event on your institution's campus or within your community, outreach is a fun and engaging way to communicate science to a broad audience.

Fall Mailer and Biweekly Schedule

The Fall Mailer will be delivered to each department and will include many resources for you and your chapter. There will be posters to hang in your lounge, award and internship opportunities, the 2023-24 SPS Handbook, and much more! Electronic versions will be available here.

SPS will be resuming the biweekly schedule for the newsletter. See you in two weeks!
