Celebrate Women's History Month and International Women’s Day!

Throughout March, SPS and AIP are highlighting resources and materials to celebrate the accomplishments of women in science. Be sure to follow our social media channels, @AIP_HQ, @AIP_TEAMUP, @AIP_Library, @AIP_History, @SPSNational, @AIP_Stats, @PhysicsToday, and join in on the conversation!

Additionally, International Women’s Day is March 8. Take this time to plan events centered around uplifting gender minorities in your chapter and university or think about what you can do to make your physics and astronomy community more inclusive!

Celebrate Pi Day by Giving Back

Are you interested in raising money for your chapter or helping other students succeed in their physics or astronomy journey? Use Pi Day as an excuse to give back! Plan a “Pi Your Professor” fundraiser to raise money for your chapter – find ideas on how to host an event here.

Interested in giving back to future students? Donate to SPS or Sigma Pi Sigma in an increment of Pi! $3.14 from a lot of people can go a long way to fund travel or outreach for students in the future. Donate here!

Apply for the TEAM-UP Together Scholarship!

This $10,000 award aims to reduce the financial barriers that prevent Black and/or African American students from completing their undergraduate degree programs in #physics and #astronomy. Applications close March 8, 2024, so apply today
