We ask each chapter and member to review the SPS and ΣΠΣ Statement on Diversity, Ethics Inclusion, and Responsibility, to make sure a code of conduct is posted in any common areas for your chapter, and to help to welcomes all students with a passion for physics and astronomy. Chapter Reports due THIS WEEK - Win $100 for your Chapter!
Submit a chapter report by June 15 to be considered for the 2023– 2024 SPS Chapter Awards! Preparing your chapter report is a great way to look back on your accomplishments from the past year and be included in SPS publications. Check out our rubric, the Chapter Report overview, and the 2024 templateto write your best chapter report yet. The SPS chapters that submit on time will be entered in a drawing to be one of ten winners of a $100 gift card for a pizza party!
Attend the Second Annual Student Leadership Development Summit
The National Society of Hispanic Physicists (NSHP) and the National Society of Black Physicists (NSBP) are hosting the second annual Student Leadership Development Summit in Washington DC from August 7th to 11th. This event includes workshops, panels, and talks that engage students in leadership and professional development, including grantsmanship, science communication, and more. Applications close in two weeks so please applyif this sounds interesting to you! There is a $100 registration fee, and travel and lodging will be provided for selected attendees.
