Frontiers in Optics + Laser Science (FiOLS), September 23 – 26, 2024: Denver, CO

This event is hosted by Optica and the APS Division of Laser Science, with registration open until August 27. Find meeting information here.

The Technical Conference is organized around three themes that leverage the intersection between science and applications — the result is intended to illustrate the research within the technology. The themes provide opportunities for focused, deep dives into the most compelling and promising technologies of tomorrow. The technical content is complemented by the Science & Industry Showcase (Sept. 24-25), an exhibition with leading optics companies, technology product demonstrations and industry-focused show floor programs. In addition, we expect upwards of 500 posters presented over multiple poster sessions, including an Undergraduate Research Symposium.

AAS 56th Annual Meeting of the Division for Planetary Sciences, October 6 – 10, 2024: Boise, ID and Virtual

The deadline for early registration is August 14. Find meeting information here.

#DPS2024 promises to provide a lively environment, a jam-packed scientific schedule, and the chance to connect with colleagues and friends.

Fall Meeting of the APS Division of Nuclear Physics, October 6 – 10, 2024: Boston, MA

Early registration closes September 4, 2024. Find meeting information here.

Social activities for undergraduates are planned, as well as opportunities to connect with mentors and the DNP leadership. This meeting also offers the Conference Experience for Undergraduates (CEU), which is a special opportunity for undergraduate researchers to present and highlight their work.

66th Annual Meeting of the APS Division of Plasma Physics, October 7 – 11, 2024: Atlanta, GA

Early registration closes September 3, 2024. Find meeting information here.

APS DPP Student Day 2024 will be held on October 6, 2024, the Sunday before the conference. This event was created because APS leadership recognized that the first few academic conferences can be daunting and overwhelming for many students. This event serves the dual purpose of preparing students for the science of DPP and creates a unique networking opportunity for all students to foster a welcoming community. To do this, Student Day features review and research talks, group activities, and networking where everything is organized and delivered by students! Find more information about Student Day here.

SoR 95th Annual Meeting, October 12 – 17, 2024: Austin, TX

Abstract submission for the Poster Session and the Gallery of Rheology Contest closes August 9, 2024, with registration opening soon. Find meeting information here.
