Looking for a fun and rewarding summer experience? SPS offers a 10-week paid Summer Internship Program in the Washington, DC area. Internship placement sites include APS, AAPT, OSA, NASA, NIST, Capitol Hill and more! The program also features a number of outreach, professional development, and networking opportunities. SPS Congressional Visits Day (SPS CVD)

Do you have an interest in science policy? SPS CVD is a two-day annual event in the spring that brings SPS members to Washington, DC to raise visibility and support for science, engineering, and technology. While attending SPS CVD, members will have the opportunity to engage with and advocate on behalf of the science policy issues most important to STEM through interaction with members of Capitol Hill.

Journal of Undergraduate Reports in Physics (JURP)

SPS is bringing back the Journal of Undergraduate Reports in Physics (JURP) and is now accepting submissions. JURP is a publication that gives undergraduate physics students the opportunity to share all the amazing aspects of being a physics and astronomy student and be published in a peer-reviewed journal.

Over the coming months we will be seeking submissions from students on topics like: original research, outreach, internships experiences, and more. Stay tuned for more information.
