Reminder: Intern Applications Due!

Looking for a fun and rewarding summer experience? SPS offers a 10-week paid Summer Internship Program in the Washington, DC area. Internship placement sites include AIP, APS, AAPT, OSA, NASA, NIST, Capitol Hill and more! The program also features a number of outreach, professional development, and networking opportunities. Learn more about the program, check out the position descriptions, and read blogs from last year’s interns. The application deadline is January 15.

Request an Alum for Your Next Meeting

Planning your spring SPS or Zone meetings? Request an SPS/ΣΠΣ alum as a virtual or in-person guest speaker! The Alumni Engagement Program has over 20 alumni who have volunteered to provide talks, job shadowing, and tours. Just head over to the website and search available alumni by state, discipline, engagement level, and job sector. When you find a speaker you are interested in, click “Request this Alum!” and enter information about your request. Make sure you check the Alumni page often, we are continuing to add new alumni information every week.

AAPM Undergraduate Summer Opportunities

The American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) offers 10 week summer programs for undergraduate students to gain experience in medical physics by performing research in a medical physics laboratory or assisting with clinical service at a clinical facility.
