Submit Your Research to JURP

 

The Journal of Undergraduate Reports in Physics (JURP) is a peer-reviewed publication of the Society of Physics Students and is comprised of research, outreach, and scholarly reporting. Papers in the area of pure, applied, computational, or theoretical physics/astronomy and related fields are all welcome for submission.  Submissions are accepted until May 15th, with priority given to those submitted by March 15th.  Submit your report today!

Science Outreach Catalyst Kits, or SOCKs, are free to SPS chapters (while supplies last) and contain an exploratory physics and science activity specifically designed for SPS chapters to use in outreach presentations to elementary, middle and high school students. Travel and Reporter Awards Available

 

Travel, chapter reporter, and individual reporter awards are available to help fund your trip to a national meeting or conference.  Travel awards of up to $300 are offered to SPS members to support their travel to an AIP Member Society meeting to present their research. Individual and chapter reporter awards are awarded to students travelling to and reporting on AIP Member Society Meetings.  Individual reporters are awarded up to $300 and chapter groups are awarded up to $250 per person to be used toward travel expenses.  Apply today!

Plan Your Zone Meeting

 

Zone meetings bring together students from SPS chapters within geographical zones. They are a fun and effective way for undergraduates to meet other students, present their research, and interact with practicing scientists. The SPS national office provides funding up to $500 to help cover the costs associated with hosting a zone meeting. Check out previous zone meeting reports here.
