Celebrate Women's History Month

Learning about women in physics early on can encourage young girls to get excited about studying physics and science in general! Check out the blog post by Maria Stokes, SPS Intern 2020, focusing on Dr. France Córdova, who has served as NASA chief scientist and NSF director. You can learn more about Dr. Córdova and other women and minorities in physics from a database of customizable lesson plans hosted by  the Center for History of Physics here.

Get your FREE Outreach Kit!

The 2020-21 SOCK is done in conjunction with the American Acoustical Society (ASA) and explores the physics of... acoustics! This kit explores how we can visualize sound in real time, appreciate the sounds that we make as people, and look to examine the soundscapes around us! SOCK users will be able to work with students from elementary school age (5-10) up through high school.  Apply for your FREE kit today!
