SPS Summer Internship Applications Due in Two Weeks!
Applications and recommendation letters are due Monday, January 17, at midnight Eastern, for the SPS Summer Internship Program!
The SPS summer internship program offers 10-week positions for undergraduate physics students in science research, education, and policy with various organizations in the Washington, DC area. All internships include paid housing, a competitive stipend, support to attend a national physics meeting in the year following the internship, and transportation to and from Washington, DC.
Students are placed at organizations, such as NASA, NIST, Capitol Hill, and the Niels Bohr Library and Archives, where they can promote the advancement of physics and astronomy within their host organization using their energy and diversity. Apply today!

Celebrate 100 Years of Momentum with Sigma Pi Sigma, the Physics Honor Society, at the 2022 Physics Congress in downtown Washington, DC! There will be opportunities for networking with professionals in the physics community, connecting with SPS and Sigma Pi Sigma members from around the country and world, and presenting your research or art. We hope to see you there!

Our spring mailer will be coming out very soon! The package includes information about topics from outreach to research and everything in between. Be sure to utilize SPS National resources and elevate your chapter to the level of Outstanding Chapter! When ready to be viewed electronically, the mailer will be available here.
Upcoming Zone Meetings
Zone meetings bring together students from SPS chapters within geographical zones. They are a fun and effective way for undergraduates to meet other students, present their research, and interact with practicing scientists. The SPS national office provides funding up to $500 to help cover the costs associated with hosting a zone meeting. Check out previous zone meeting reports here.

SPS offers Travel Awards of $300 (for in-person meetings) to members presenting their research at AIP member society meetings. A limited number of awards will be offered. Apply Today!
SPS members attending and reporting on professional physics meetings are eligible to receive $300 as an individual ($75 if virtual) and $250 per person as a chapter for in-person meetings in travel reimbursement. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.Apply Now!
