#HowToSigmaPiSigma - The Physics Honor Society

Learn about Sigma Pi Sigma, the physics honors society! This webinar gives a short history of the society, features tips on how to host an induction at your school, and discusses how to start a chapter!  Join Assistant Director of Sigma Pi Sigma, Andrew Zeidell, on either February 7 at 5 PM EST or February 15 at 4 PM EST.  The sessions will last around 30 mins.  Register to attend at the links provided above! We hope to see you there.

Black History Month

Celebrating and promoting diversity in physics, and STEM fields in general, is essential to move forward in science.  Read why Dr. Willie Rockward, former Sigma Pi Sigma president, values diversity and inclusion in STEM here . We challenge you to do something this month to celebrate those underrepresented in physics and share it with us on social media! Follow and tag @SPSNational.

Use the Centennial Run to Fundraise for PhysCon!

Get ready to run (or walk, bike, swim, or whatever you need to do to get across the finish line)! SPS will be hosting a nationwide run honoring the centennial year of Sigma Pi Sigma, in preparation for the 2022 Physics Congress.  On Pi Day, March 14, start logging your miles and gathering donations and pledges from faculty, family, and alumni.  For every $400 your chapter raises until April 14, you get one night covered for a room for your chapter at the Omni Shoreham in Washington, DC during the Congress.  Sign up and details to follow!
