2022 Physics Congress - Register Today!

Register for the 2022 Physics Congress today! PhysCon is the largest in person gathering of undergraduate physics and astronomy students. Early bird registration ends today, September 6, 2022. Travel funds are still available. For more information about the Congress, watch  this video and visit www.sigmapisigma.org/sigmapisigma/congress/2022 .

 
 

2022 Physics Congress Poster Session

Be sure to sign up for the 2022 Physics Congress Poster Session ! Those who submit abstracts and a recording of their presentations before the congress will be eligible for judging and CASH prizes. In addition to getting to practice your oral presentation skills, you will receive feedback from professional scientists and learn about other students’ research in fields different from your own. Submit by registering for PhysCon!

Deadlines: 

  • Eligible for judging and prizes: September 12 
  • Only presenting in person, no feedback: September 19

2022 Physics Congress Art Exhibit and Contest

Make sure you register your artwork for the 2022 Physics Congress Art Exhibit and Contest! Prizes are available to those who indicate their interest in judging. Prizes will include a year's subscription to Wolfram Mathematica, as well as prints and books from our esteemed judges - including Fred Dylla, former AIP CEO!

Submission Deadline: September 19

Travel Award Opportunities for PhysCon

HBCU/MSI Travel Award: Awards are available for  students who attend HBCU/MSI schools .  The PhysCon HBCU/MSI Travel award covers lodging, travel, and registration for the congress! Awards are given out on a first come, first-served basis!

Chapter Travel Awards: Awards are available for  chapters travelling together ! One hotel room will be provided for the duration of the congress.  Be sure to apply soon as they are on a first-come, first-served basis!

 
 

Fall Mailer and Biweekly Schedule

This mailing will be delivered to each department and will include many resources for you and your chapter. There will be posters to hang in your lounge, award and internship opportunities, the 2022-23 SPS Handbook, and much more! Electronic versions will be available here.
